Founders Message

Xtremely Young Zoroastrians (XYZ) is a newly established organisation aimed at promoting togetherness and camaraderie within the youngsters of the Zoroastrian Community.

XYZ aspires to mould the children between the ages of 5 and 15 years to become better individuals and inculcate Zoroastrian values through fellowship and service activities.

The purpose of XYZ is to build a strong sense of belonging and pride amongst the Zoroastrian children for their community. Religious values are an important part of our culture and we want our children to start adhering to them from an early age. Leadership skills like goal setting, decision making, team work, people skills, money management and ethics too will be inculcated through various activities of XYZ through our Sunday sessions.

In May 2014, XYZ organised a pilot project – ‘Summer Camp’ which saw 240 Zoroastrian children participate in numerous activities. A few dedicated parents and volunteers came together and conducted a distinctive Summer Camp where the kids learnt quite a lot about our culture through games, skits and activities. They also enjoyed themselves through competitions and sports, which in turn helped them to make new friends.

On Sunday, December 21, 2014, XYZ was officially launched in Mumbai, where the 7 XYZ Groups from Colaba, Tardeo, Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Bandra and Andheri were chartered. Each of these groups also put up a cultural performance depicting various aspects of XYZ.
